Yeni sistemle birlikte Chrome'un üst menü çubuğunda yer alacak olan Gemini simgesi, kullanıcıların aktif sekme üzerinde sorular sormasını veya öneriler almasını sağlayacak. Başlangıçta yalnızca açık olan sekmeyle sınırlı olarak çalışacak bu özellik, ilerleyen dönemlerde daha geniş kapsamlı hale getirilecek.

Google, Gemini'nin gelecekte sekmeler arası geçiş yapabileceğini ve web sayfalarının belirli bölümlerine doğrudan erişerek kullanıcıyı yönlendirebileceğini de açıkladı. Örneğin bir yemek tarifi okurken “direkt sos hazırlama kısmına git” gibi komutlar kullanılabilecek.

🎙️ Sesli komutlarla tam etkileşim

Gemini, Gemini Live ile birlikte tarayıcıda sesli komutları da destekleyecek. Kullanıcılar, Chrome üzerinden sesli sohbetler gerçekleştirebilecek ve doğal konuşmalarla tarayıcıda işlemlerini sürdürebilecekler.

Bu yeni özellik ilk etapta sadece AI Pro ve AI Ultra abonelerine, Mac ve Windows cihazlarda, İngilizce dil desteğiyle sunulacak. Google, önümüzdeki süreçte desteklenen dillerin ve cihaz sayısının artacağını belirtti.

At I/O 2025, Google officially announced the integration of its Gemini AI assistant directly into the Chrome browser, ushering in a smarter and more interactive web experience.

🧠 Gemini now lives in your browser

With this update, users will see a Gemini icon in the Chrome toolbar. This feature allows them to ask questions or receive smart suggestions based on their active tab, without switching windows or launching separate tools.

Initially limited to the open tab, Gemini’s functionality will soon expand to navigate between tabs, access specific parts of a webpage, and even perform tasks like "jump to the ingredients section" when browsing recipes.

🎙️ Voice control with Gemini Live

The integration also brings support for voice commands via Gemini Live, allowing users to interact naturally with the browser using spoken language.

Currently, this AI integration is available only to AI Pro and AI Ultra subscribers, on Mac and Windows, and supports English only. Google plans to expand language and platform availability in the near future.
