has just upgraded its AI-powered assistant Copilot
with a game-changing feature: the ability to convert
flat 2D images into fully interactive 3D models in seconds.
Known for its wide range of
uses—from drafting emails to summarizing documents and even assisting with
gaming—Copilot now introduces Copilot 3D,
a tool designed to push the limits of creativity for designers, developers, and
digital artists.
Through the Copilot 3D website, users can upload JPG or PNG
files and transform them with a single click. The process takes less than a
minute, and the generated models are stored for 28
days in the “My Creations” tab. Users can also download them in
GLB format for direct use.
For best results, Microsoft
recommends using a photo of a single object taken under balanced lighting
conditions with a plain background. This ensures clean and accurate 3D model
generation, making the feature especially useful for creative industries.
With this update, Copilot evolves
beyond a simple assistant, becoming a powerful AI
tool for digital content creation.
